Known for creating new lines and jokes for his own character, Ryan Reynolds will not have the same freedom in Deadpool 3
In Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds you will not be able to improvise jokes and new phrases for your character. The actor has played the anti-hero since his infamous appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), but gained prominence with solo productions made by Fox.
The third film in the franchise, however, will not feature the trademark of its predecessors: the improvisations of Reynoldsresponsible for attributing part of the humor to Wade Wilson on the big screen. The reason is the Hollywood writers’ strike.
As reported by collider (via GameRant), the contracts signed with the writers prevent creations of Reynolds: “Ryan Reynolds not allowed to improvise any lines in the film production that occur during the strike. They need to follow the roadmap delivered before the conflict starts. Reynolds he must keep any joke he thinks to himself, following what is written.”
The publication also highlighted how this could seriously affect the film, considering that the character always dialogues with what is happening in the world. Should the strike end before filming ends, the scenario could change – but a resolution doesn’t seem so close.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to premiere in November 2024.
