Mines and Energy Minister Alexandre Silveira said on Monday that the federal government’s political decision on energy integration with Venezuela has already been taken, but an analysis of financial and technical feasibility is still needed.
Speaking to reporters at the Planalto Palace after a meeting between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Silveira also said that the integration with its neighbor and the construction of the so-called “line” to connect Roraima to the energy grid national are not exclusive.
