The success of the legendary Richard Darboy in the role of Baz Lighter will not be easy. Who was chosen for this challenge? We have the answer!
“To infinity and beyond!” Coming to the cinema on June 22, Buzz Lightyear tells the true story of a legendary space ranger who has since been inspired by a familiar toy.
After stalling with his commander and his crew on a hostile planet that is 4.2 million light-years from Earth, Buzz Lightyear tries to bring peace to every home.
For this he can support an ambitious group of young recruits and support his favorite robot cat, Sox. But the arrival of an army of scary backs and its ruthless robots will not make their task any easier, especially since the latter has a very specific plan in mind.
To accomplish this dangerous mission, Disney assembled a high-flying actor. Contrary to what we have heard in the trailers, it is not Adrien Antoine (Henry Cavill’s VF) who will lend his voice to Buzz. Nor is it Alexander Gill, VF of Chris Evans, though the latter is the hero translator in VO.
François Civil, known for his performances in Bac Nord, Le Chant du loup or En corps, vocally portrays the famous space ranger.
The 32-year-old actor, who will soon become D’Artagnan at Les 3 Mousquetaires, will have people forget about the legendary Richard Darby. The latter doubled the Buzz game version in the original Toy Story saga.

François Civil will be Buzz Lightyear
The actor has performed such a stunning performance as Buzz Lightyear that it is hard to imagine a hero without his signature. However, it is logical that he will be replaced by another actor, because this time the character is no longer even a toy, but a real base.
The rest of the French actors are: Lina Khudri (Easy Hawthorne), Michael Gregorio (Sox, base domestic robot), Tomer Sisley (Mo Morrison) and Chantal Ladesu (Darby Steele).
Also starring Mike Dara (Alicia Hawthorne Adult), Virgin Emane (Alicia Hawthorne Young), Franz Confucius (Commander Burnside), Jean Barney (Zurg), Pauline Mullen (IVAN), Volodya Sere (Eric / Derrick), Lee Ling (Fearing) , Donald Reninux (Officer Diaz) and Juliet Davis (Young Izzy).
Buzz Lightyear takes off to infinity (and beyond) on June 22nd.
Our show with the great Richard Darboy
