‘Succession’: Matthew Macfadyen clarifies the future of Tom and Greg after the final chapter of the HBO Max series

And no, I’m not talking about the shot in the car with Tom (Matthew Macfayden) and Shiv (Sarah Snook), but the rise to the top of Waystar from Tom and Greg, the best couple in the HBO Max series.

Macfadyen admitted that the trust between the two had to be as strong as it was because Braun forced it on him. “We just decided to go for it and beat ourselves up,” he said.

Macfadyen explained: “I think he likes having Greg around; recognizes a kindred spirit in Greg. They are both outsiders. And they’ve both taken a lot of shit from everyone, although Tom would never admit it. They have many secrets. Together, they’ve done a lot of things together: They’ve covered up the cruise line stuff. And I think Tom looks up to Greg, in a crazy mentor way. Greg is not without cunning, ambition and all the rest. It’s quite slippery and snake-like, and Tom can’t help but admire that.and he says, ‘Well, you better stay with me.
