Season three of Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed sports drama Ted Lasso ends this Wednesday (31). Aiming for the Premier League trophy, Greyhounds have everything they want at their fingertips.
The Ted Lasso season 3 finale has a long way to go when it comes to quenching the thirst of fans who have been patiently waiting for answers.
While Ted’s (Jason Sudeikis) journey to Nelson Road could come to a close in many ways, the season finale will need to flawlessly conclude the character arcs and storylines the show has explored throughout its stellar run.
Fans should hope and “believe” that their questions will be answered at the end of Season 3.
What to expect from Ted Lasso’s ‘season finale’
Overall, fans are hoping that the season 3 finale settles speculation about the future of Ted Lasso and his club, AFC Richmond.
However, it’s not just the club’s fate that hangs in the balance as fans wait for Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond to wrap up this season. Check out the top questions for this “ending” below:
In the penultimate episode of season three, Ted gets a surprise visit from his mother, Dottie Lasso (Becky Ann Baker). She tells Ted that her son Henry needs him. Ted admits he knows, but her fear of seeing his son leave one day keeps him away from him.
Near the end of episode 11, Ted Lasso drops a “truth bomb” when he reveals to Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) that he may have a “truth bomb” to share. It’s possible Ted made the decision to leave Richmond after his last Premier League game.

Nate Shelly (Nick Mohammed) has quit his job as head coach of West Ham United. So Nate starts working with his girlfriend Jade (Edyta Budnik) at their favorite restaurant, Taste of Athens.
To his surprise, he was visited by his former teammates, trying to facilitate his return to Richmond. Though Nate initially declines the offer, his return to Richmond is all but confirmed when Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), who has seemingly forgiven Nate for his past actions, offers Nate his job.
Nate’s return is crucial, considering much of Richmond’s early success can be attributed to his genius. Plus, with the club headed for the Premier League title, Ted’s motivational skills may require Nate’s strategic thinking to seal a championship win for Richmond.

With victory over arch-rivals Man City, AFC Richmond are just one more victory away from Premier League glory, as the underdogs who bounced back from relegation the previous season and ended up battling for top spot next.
The final victory will be the culmination of all the efforts of Ted and his team (who now have the “prodigy” Nate back). The sight of Greyhounds lifting the Premier League trophy at the end of season three would be very symbolic. But for a series determined to prove it’s not about win or lose, no one can know for sure whether AFC Richmond will fulfill its destiny.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the series dropped Richmond just to provide a life lesson, even if the Greyhounds remain a fan favorite to win.

For three seasons, Ted Lasso has focused on establishing his characters and the complex relationships they share with each other. Right now, Keeley (Juno Temple) and Roy (Brett Goldstein) appear to be back together, though Jamie (Phil Dunster) doesn’t seem to be off Keeley’s radar when it comes to this series’ longstanding love triangle.
On the other hand, Rebecca’s love life has always remained on the fringes of the novels explored in Ted Lasso. Her short-lived relationship with Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh) has certainly got fans rooting for the pair. Rebecca’s meeting with a stranger in Amsterdam in Episode 6 has added a new perspective to her longing for love as she continues to struggle to recover from her toxic relationship with Rupert Mannion, her former partner and rival.
Finally, Ted himself has tried to find love from time to time. There was some hope for Ted in the form of Sassy (Ellie Taylor) until the thread was untied in the fourth episode of this season when Sassy reveals to Ted what a mess she thinks she is. It will be interesting to see how Ted Lasso Season 3 wraps up all of the romances that he has featured for the majority of his run.

Rebecca’s character arc was driven by her hatred for her ex-husband and her eventual recovery from the trauma caused by her relationship with him. Although the situation between Rebecca and Rupert has seen worse days, it seems that Rebecca has finally decided to forgive Rupert after almost kissing him in episode 10.
However, when Rebecca gets a visit from Bex (Keeley Hazell), the woman Rupert cheated on her with, and Mrs. Kakes (Rosie Lou), Rupert’s secretary with whom he cheated on Bex, it is revealed worse things could be in store for the former owner of Richmond.
