In anticipation of the program’s launch, Lauren Cohan, our colleagues at the New York Post, spoke about the challenges of this spin-off. Maggie’s translator’s ability to confirm that Dead City was not intended as a mini-series, despite the reduced format of only six episodes.
We are ready to go beyond the first season. The TV landscape is different and a little more disturbing than before. But hopefully the series goes well and we can move on to season 2, 3, 4 or 5. We’ve only cracked the eggshell and now we can make an omelette.
If the interpreters of Maggie and Negan are willing to continue the adventures of their characters for several seasons, it will still be necessary for the fans to be there. And on that subject, the success of the series has not yet been achieved, as evidenced by the many hostile reactions posted on social networks after Lauren Cohan’s words.
