Hulk: ‘I’ve played games that didn’t matter with pain’

In Atlético’s elimination to Corinthians, in the Copa do Brasil, after a 2-0 defeat, at the Néo Química Arena, in Sao Paulo, on Wednesday (31), the absence of the Hulk in the starting lineup attracted attention. Quickly, the “rumor” surfaced that the athlete had muscle fatigue and should stay on as an option. After the match, however, he didn’t confirm the information.

On his way out of the stadium, the Hulk stopped to talk to the press. He clarified that he was available to the coach and that staying out was an option for Eduardo Coudet.

“It’s the coach’s decision, also because everyone is working well, I’m available to Coudet, he decides the starting 11. And I’m always available to be able to enter the pitch and do my best,” he said.

Atlético entered the field with the advantage on the scoreboard having won the first match by 2 to 0. However, they took the same result in São Paulo, and the decision was on penalties. In kicks, Galo lost to Hulk, Edenilson and Battaglia. Thus, he saw Corinthians convert more shots and secure the league table.

Bicudo, now, returns all his concentration to the derby, against Cruzeiro, on Saturday (3), at the Parque do Sabiá, in Uberlândia. On Tuesday (06) of the other week, Galo will face Alianza Lima, in an important match of the Copa Libertadores.
