On the verge of launching the fifth film in the “Indiana Jones” saga, actor Harrison Ford was asked one of the most controversial topics among his admirers: who would fare better in a dispute between Indy and Han Solo, from “Star Wars”?
The question came up during an interview with Esquire, and Ford gave an answer that might not appeal to everyone. The actor began by quoting what hardcore “Star Wars” fans usually ask him.
“Well, they usually ask me, ‘If there was a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones, who would win? And I say: ‘Me, idiot! I don’t want to dwell on this kind of nonsense. I mean, why are you asking me this shit?’”
So it is. The actor also stressed that he is not Indiana Jones, just as he is not Han Solo, but Harrison Ford (although he prefers to be called Harry Ford).
At the age of 80, Ford has already declared that “Indiana Jones and the Call of Destiny” will be his last participation in the saga created in the 80s.
Despite this, Ford’s career is not yet expected to come to an end: he has already been confirmed in the role of Thaddeus Ross, from the MCU, replacing actor William Hurt, who passed away in 2022. He will make his Marvel universe debut in the film “Captain America : New World Order”, planned for 2024.
