If it’s Mark Hamill’s turn, we’ve already seen Luke Skywalker’s last appearance in the Star Wars saga. For the actor, who spoke in an interview on the Sunday Morning program on the American broadcaster CBS, the universe created by George Lucas has many stories to tell – and no longer needs the presence of the Jedi master.
‘Never say never’
The Luke Skywalker star recently said he has no expectations of reprising the role.
When asked about a possible return to the saga, the actor replied that he believes Star Wars no longer needs Luke. But he hasn’t entirely dismissed the idea of the character returning to the screen.
Never say never, but I see no reason [para voltar]. Put it this way: they have so many good stories to tell, they don’t need Luke anymore. I had my turn which was really good. But that’s enough.
