A few weeks ago Elliott Page published his memoirs in a book titled Pageboy (available today from Kero Publications). The 36-year-old Canadian actor retraces his path, shares anecdotes about his career, and also reflects on his trans and non-binary coming out in 2020.
The publication of this memoir also allowed Elliott Page to return to several episodes in which he experienced homophobia. Especially in the evening in Hollywood, where A “famous actor” (who shall not be named) verbally abused her several years prior to her gender transition.
The actress of the TV series Umbrella Academy mentions this story in her book, which happened in 2014, in a chapter titled. “That famous brag at the party”. “You’re not gay. He doesn’t exist. You’re only afraid of men. I’d drive you crazy if you found out you weren’t gay.” Especially this huge celebrity would say.
Words which the latter very quickly regretted, who then tried to justify himself by assuring that “Gays are not a problem”.
