A documentary series about Argentinian star Lionel Messi has been greenlit by Apple TV+, according to Deadline. According to the portal, the production will tell the story of the player in four episodes and will show the backstage of his five participations in the FIFA World Cup, including the most recent and exciting victory in Qatar, in 2022.
Also according to Deadline, the production of the series has been following Messi for some time, gathering information on the public and private world of the player. The documentary will also feature never-before-seen personal interviews, as well as conversations with teammates, coaches, competitors, fans and commentators.
