S&P 500, Nasdaq higher on open focused on Fed rate outlook

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq opened slightly higher on Wednesday as investors held back from making big bets ahead of inflation data and next week’s Federal Reserve policy meeting.




The Dow fell 0.03% to open at 33,562.47 points. The S&P 500 opened up 0.04% to 4,285.47 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.14% to 13,295.26 points.
