Available in the Prime Video catalog, a sci-fi horror in which human beings must survive the battle against terrible alien monsters. And then a twist turns everything upside down.
A mix of horror and science fiction well done in space is not limited to the Alien series. The shocking Pandorum, available in the Prime Video catalogue, also pits a group of astronauts against bloodthirsty aliens.
Sci-fi horror Pandorum turns out to be much creepier than Alien
In the future, to escape the overpopulation of the Earth, desperate humanity sends a huge spaceship to an Earth-like planet. Thousands of passengers are in a deep sleep and the journey is expected to last 123 years.
But when Corporal Bower (Ben Foster) and Lieutenant Payton (Dennis Quaid) wake up, there is utter chaos aboard. The nuclear reactor malfunctions, horrific monsters attack the passengers and the two protagonists suffer from psychosis and amnesia as a result of the journey. Above all, they do not know how long they have been traveling and where the spaceship is.
Warning, spoilers!
After all, the brutal aliens aren’t real aliens. Instead, some of the passengers have turned into vicious monsters over the years. The ship arrived at its destination 800 years ago and is on the bottom of an ocean.
