The ruling that rejected the appeal against the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), left a message to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).

First Class Ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) he was required to immediately draw a line and warned that he does not intend to be hostage to changes in the position of the PGR.

The message is that the Court is not committed to supporting other waivers by Attorney General Augusto Aras in the complaints filed by his predecessors.

The position of the Attorney General’s Office does not bind the ministers’ decision. If the withdrawal of the charge is found to be unfounded, prosecution may follow. In the Aras administration, the body also returned after allegations against MP Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG), who had been accused of receiving bribes from Odebrecht and Andrade Gutierrez.
