The day before, on June 7, the first trailer for the fourth part of the cult action-packed franchise “The Expendables” appeared on the network. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture return to their legendary roles. In addition to the characters already familiar to fans, new heroes have joined the cast, which will be played by the star of “Transformers” Megan Fox and the American rapper 50 Cent.
In the trailer, Megan’s character first takes on Statham’s hero before joining the Expendables on their final mission. Such a turn suggests that the heroine was given a sufficient amount of screen time.
The director of the action movie “The Expendables 4” was Scott Waugh, who worked on the film “Bicentennial Man” with Robin Williams. In addition to Hollywood superstars, the cast includes actors such as Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levi Tran, Eddie Hall, Iko Uwais and Andy Garcia. Liam Neeson and Steven Seagal were also invited to the franchise. Production was handled by Lionsgate.
Recall that the first part of “The Expendables” was released in 2010. Having collected a huge box office at the box office, in 2012 the creators decided to release a sequel. The premiere of the third episode took place two years later, in 2014. By the way, after the second film, Bruce Willis left his role in the franchise, giving way to Harrison Ford.
