Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the continuation of HPI Season 3. If you don’t want to know anything, go!
Since launching HPI, Morgan Alvaro has made no secret of his difficulties in making ends meet. And it’s not his salary as a consultant that keeps him above water. These difficulties follow him from season to season, without escaping from them.
But in HPI Season 3 Episode 5, a character played by Audrey Fleurot makes a discovery that will help her finally overcome her financial woes. Moving the broken dishwasher again, the mother of the family discovers a metal box containing 40,000 euros.
If Morgan and her children do not know the origin of this providential money, they choose to live in denial and decide to spend everything on doing small jobs around the house. But of course, nothing is that simple…
The money found by the consultant did not come to his house by accident. At the end of episode 6, we will find out the truth. And as always at HPI, Morgan will have to face the consequences of these actions. The consequences, which at this point could cost him his life.
Whose money is Morgan finding?
While Morgan is delighted to have found €40,000, he soon discovers that the money belongs to his father, Serge (Patrick Chesnais). The latter, as a known criminal lover of all kinds of shenanigans, obviously did not legally receive this astronomical sum.
Serge, shot in the leg, tells his daughter that he must return this money to the biker group. Unfortunately, he spent it all in the last three months and can’t get the money back. One of the bikers who threatens the father then gives him an ultimatum: he has 24 hours to return the 40,000 euros or the father will die.
Out of ideas, Morgan will use his new investigation to earn enough money to save Serge. He pretends to be a wedding planner with the people he and Karadec are investigating in hopes of getting a very good amount of money.
But Morgan Alvaro wouldn’t be Morgan Alvaro if all his plans went to perfection. Unfortunately, the mother of the family cannot collect the money in time. To help Serge, he finds himself in a much darker and more dangerous case that could cost him his place in the police force, his relationship with Karadetz, but also his life…
