GM Plant in Argentina to Stop Production of Chevrolet Cruze (Hatch and Sedan) to Increase Production of Chevrolet Tracker SUV
Another sedan will fall victim to the growing consumer preference for Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) models. General Motors confirmed this Friday the 9th that the Chevrolet Cruze will only be produced until the end of this year.
According to GM, the production line of the Chevrolet Cruze (Hatch and Sedan) will be used to increase the production volume of the Chevrolet Tracker, one of the SUVs sold in Brazil. The Cruze was produced in Alvear, Argentina for nearly eight years.
It is no news that Guia do Carro has published news and analysis on the end of production of the Chevrolet Cruze. This became a matter of time as the car was discontinued worldwide except in Argentina.

The General Motors Santa Fe Automotive Plant will continue to produce replacement parts for the Chevrolet Cruze Sedan and Cruze Hatch for the next 10 years. “Later this year, Tracker production will ramp up to ensure its availability in the local market and strengthen Argentine exports to markets in the region,” GM said in a statement.
