The birth of a new festival dedicated to youth
The bias of the Biarritz International Film Festival – New Waves is to tell the story of youth and build on its vision through a unique proposal: films that represent the stories of youth, judged by a jury of artists under 35 and an international jury. Students from major film schools.
Jérôme Pulis, President and Founder of the Festival, Sandrine Brauer, General Delegate and Lily Hinst, Director of Programming
Nouvelles vague aims to highlight the young generation, its vision and its power, where the future takes root. Youth is the future written in the present, and during the festival, the present will merge with the future. Stories of heroes aged 12 to 35 will be at the center of the festival program and professional sections. The trophy presented to the winners was designed by Ecole Boulle students.
