Will Vanessa return soon to terrorize Tomorrow Belongs to Us? We asked Victoire Doxer, who said goodbye to his serial killer hero for the second time last night on TF1.
After going through a coup last year and killing several people, including Louise, Vanessa Lehman reappeared on Tomorrow We Own a few weeks ago as part of her trial. The killer’s opportunity to carry out his plan and escape to find Georges (Mayel Elhajaoui), his great love.
However, the reunion didn’t go as Vanessa had planned as Georges tried to trap her ex-lover, who had no choice but to shoot her to get out. And while she fled to Perpignan at the end of this Friday’s episode on TF1, viewers will learn on Monday that Vanessa has been caught by Interpol in Buenos Aires.
Does this mean the writers are done with this killer character for good? Or will Vanessa soon return for the third act, like Marc Ver (Guillaume Fauré) before her, or even Sasha (Renault Roussel), who appeared last year in a few episodes after the shocking plot of 2021?
“I’m not a screenwriter, so I don’t know if Vanessa will come back”replied Victoire Douxer, when asked about the possibility of a fresh face-to-face return with Georges tomorrow belongs to us. “But last year I didn’t die and I was able to come back. So I guess as long as you don’t die it’s possible”.
And when it’s suggested that Vanessa could reappear on the set and kidnap Georges to force him to marry her, Victoire Doxer seems pretty excited about the idea. “I adore you!”– he answers and bursts out laughing. “Vanessa definitely wants to marry Georges. That would be funny.”.
“Listen, you can pitch this to the writers so I can come back later for the wedding arch. And maybe another serial killer will come and beat Vanessa. Tomorrow is possible, we own it.”.
In the meantime, the Vikings and Versailles actor will focus on his upcoming projects, namely two comedies this summer. The first, filmed overseas this month, is destined for the streaming platform. and the other for cinema.
Two feature films that won’t be released until 2024. So will Vanessa be back in Tomorrow Belongs to Us by now? future will show.
