Disney continues to prepare its gallery of versions of its animated classics in real action and, after the success of titles such as ‘The Lion King‘ (Jon Favreau, 2019), ‘Aladdin‘ (Guy Ritchie, 2019), ‘Dumbo‘ (Tim Burton, 2019), ‘mulan‘ (Niki Caro, 2020) and ‘cruel‘ (Craig Gillespie, 2021), arrives ‘Pinocchio‘ (Robert Zemeckis, 2022), version of the essential ‘Pinocchio‘ (Ben Sharpsteen, Hamilton Luske, 1940), the best-known adaptation of the story of Carlo Collodi.

‘Pinocchio‘, Disney’s new live-action remake, will premiere directly on the Disney+ platform on September 8.
‘Pinocchio’: Synopsis
As a version of the classic ‘Pinocchio‘ (Ben Sharpsteen, Hamilton Luske, 1940), the film will introduce us to an old man named Geppetto who makes a wooden puppet in the hope that it will turn into a real boy. The Blue Fairy makes his wish come true and brings Pinocchio to life, but keeps his wooden body. Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio’s conscience, will have to advise him to stay away from difficult or dangerous situations until the doll becomes a flesh and blood child.

Robert Zemeckis Y Tom Hanks join forces again afterForrest Gump‘ (1994), ‘Castaway‘ (2000) and ‘Polar Express‘ (2004) in what is a new version of the children’s novel written by Carlo Collodi in 1883, ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’.
The script has been written by Zemeckis, simon farnaby Y Chris Weitzwhich also produce together with Andrew Milano. alan silvestri will sign the soundtrack.

Tom Hanks will be Geppetto in a cast that includes Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Pinocchio), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Jiminy Cricket), Cynthia Erivo (Blue fairy), Luke Evans (the coachman), Keegan-Michael Key (John “Honest”), Sheila Attim Y Lorraine Braco as Sofia the seagull, a new character.
