The only Brazilian representative in the race returns to sea this Wednesday
Felipe Toledo’s semifinal was supposed to take place on Monday, but due to unfavorable weather conditions it didn’t take place. The Brazilian qualified after beating Japan’s Kanoa Igarashi and is the only representative of the “Brazilian Storm” in the tournament. The WSL has postponed the disputes to this Wednesday 14th and will broadcast SportTV 3, with closed television and on the app and on the official WSL channel on YouTube.
Filipe’s classification was calm, from the start of the heat he was superior to his opponent. He opened the dispute with 6.67 on Kanoa after a big wave of 8.67. The Asian, who already had 6.60, only managed to scare at the end of the heat, when he won a 7.67 which however was not enough to turn around. The Paulista won from 15:34 to 14:27.
The WSL window lasts until June 18, after which the World Tour arrives in Brazil, Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro. This stage is the antepenultimate of the competitive stage before the WSL Finals in Trestles, which brings together the top five in the standings, consecrating the male and female champion of the season.
