Marvel: Delayed Avengers 5 and 6, Captain America 4, Blade…

Did you need a big upset in the calendars of the big studios? Disney will fix it. In addition to pushing Avatar 3 to December 2025 (and 5 to… 2031!), the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is outraged. No doubt in large part due to the writers’ strike already blocking production of Blade and Thunderbolts.

A common world is needed when a project moves, others do the same. So Captain America: Brave New World, whose release date appears to have just been confirmed, will now arrive in the US on July 26, 2024 (and probably two days earlier in France). It takes the place of Thunderbolts, which moved to December 20, with Avatar 3’s opening slot.

2025 will kick off with Blade (February 14th) before The Fantastic 4 lands (finally) in the MCU on May 2nd. A previously reserved date for Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has been pushed back a year (though the future of Jonathan Majors, the Big Bad’s interpreter, is still unclear), as is Secret Wars.

Good news despite all these delays: Deadpool 3 has been pushed back to May 3, 2024 (instead of November 8). And Marvels should not give up.
