Get ready for a scary ride this summer! Inspired by a single chapter of a literary work “DraculaThe Last Voyage of the Demetrius by Bram Stoker is the story of the crossing of the Demetrius, aboard a very cautious merchant ship bound for London from the Carpathians, carrying a cargo of unidentified wooden crates.
It doesn’t take long for the strange happenings on the ship to strike the crew, who must try to escape the strange presence that hunts them night after night without mercy during this disastrous crossing. Wreck, a real ghost ship that stops on the coast of England, is nothing more than the shadow of Demetrius, on which there is no longer a living soul.
The trailer of the feature film has just been released and it promises to be a chilling horror thriller.
Worn by Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, 24 Hours: Legacy), Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, Unforgivable), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans), David Dastmalchian (Recently Seen Croque-mitaine) Nikolai Nikolaev (Strange Objects) and Javier Botet, the feature film is directed by André Ovredal, who is already at the helm of Scary Stories and Chasseur de Trolls.
Javier Botet plays Dracula here, a winged creature that bears little relation to the recent versions of Cles Bang in the Netflix series Dracula or Luke Evans in Dracula Untold.
The Spanish actor is regularly involved in scary creatures after he played Key Face insidious: The Last Key, Slender Man in the film of the same name, the con man in Conjuring 2 or the monster in Mama.
The Last Voyage of Demetrius It will be released in theaters on August 23.
