Black Clover: Sword of the Emperor-Mage : The hit manga Black Clover, published in Weekly Shōnen Jump (Shueisha) magazine and selling 17 million copies, is being adapted into a film for the first time.

The animated feature film is a completely original story. It is overseen by Yuki Tabata, the author of the manga from which it is adapted, and follows the adventures of a mage emperor not depicted in Japanese comics.

In a world where magic reigns supreme, Asta, a boy born without powers, has ambitions to become the emperor’s mage in order to overcome adversity, reveal his abilities, and honor the oath he made to his friends.
