‘A little upset’: Audrey Fleurott makes a humorous return to her role in Kaamelott

As she wins HPI on TF1, actress Audrey Fleurott returns to her experience in Alexandre Astier’s Kaamelott series, in which she appeared in 31 episodes.

At the heart of his devotion to Camelot is the theater. Alexandre Astier sees his performance on stage and forces him to shoot some sketches in the medieval world with a small group. The idea is to approach TV channels with this kind of “demo tape”.

At the time, the star of HPI portrayed Angarad, Queen Guinevere’s servant, who would eventually be played by Vanessa Guede in the series.

The rest is known: M6 is looking for a replacement for Camera Café and will commission the first season of Kaamelott from Alexandre Astier. The series achieved phenomenal success during its six seasons of broadcast, changing its format and moving from 3-minute sketches to larger formats. Audrey Floro has been part of the adventure for six years of its existence as the Lady of the Lake.

His scenes, which were often shot on green screen, often fell apart quickly, as he humorously confided in the show En Aparté:

It’s an adventure that took me very little time, we came and did six sketches a day, it went very quickly and because I had such a halo, people didn’t recognize me, so for a long time I thought of it as a mythomaniac. We didn’t get in touch, so I was still a little upset.

From now on, the Camelot adventure continues in cinema, and the Lady of the Lake is back in the first part, which is released in the summer of 2021. So will Audrey Fleurot be in the second episode? At the moment, obviously, he has not contacted:

Arthur and the Lady of the Lake in “KV1”.

“So I don’t know, because Alexandre Astier tends to call you the day before for the next day. (…) I want to, because once in 20 years this meeting is really good!”

The second part does not have a release date yet. Filming was originally slated for spring 2023, but so far it doesn’t seem to be happening. To be continued…
