Nearly 20 years after playing the stormtrooper Anakin Skywalker, who turned from the dark side to the dark Darth Vader in George Lucas’ Star Wars prequels, comedian Hayden Christensen is now 42 and the father of a baby girl. 8 years old girl.
Although he was recently able to find his character and don the iconic Sith Lord armor again in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, the actor talked about his journey in the Star Wars saga with Diego Luna (translated by Cassian Andor) on the Variety channel.
After explaining that he already imitated Vader’s breathing as a child to scare his little sister, Hayden Christensen also revealed that his daughter had never seen him perform in the Lucas trilogy:
“ He knows I’m in Star Wars as Darth Vader. But he had never seen it before. So I’m leaving. I’m trying to find the best way, the best way… There are some disturbing scenes that I don’t want to show him at this age… I have to do it as soon as possible.”
Effectively, in Revenge of the SithEpisode III of the saga, in which Anakin really ends up on the wrong side of the force, we can see how he destroys the Jedi apprentices before being completely burned in Mustafar’s lava at the end of his battle with Obi-Wan.
Despite everything, Christensen took advantage of her return in the latest Disney+ series to offer her daughter a little trip to the galaxy far, far away:
“(…) It was really nice to be able to do the Obi-Wan series and bring it to the set.she said.
“Not when I was wearing the Darth Vader suit, but when I was playing Anakin. So I brought him to the set and he saw me doing the lightsaber with Ewan McGregor. He was very concerned about me. Safety. He was afraid that one of us would get hurt.”
Could Hayden Christensen be returning once again to portray Vader in the Ahsoka series, which is expected on Disney+ on August 23rd?
