The Harry Potter saga marked an entire generation that grew up with the magic-filled films adapted from JK Rowling’s novels, so the news that it would be getting a reboot sent fans into a frenzy.
That’s right, HBO is preparing a new series based on the hit saga and retelling the story of Harry, the boy who lived, but in greater depth back at Hogwarts.
Daniel Radcliffe reveals some bad news for Harry Potter fans
So during an interview for an American media, the protagonist Daniel Radcliffe was asked about his participation in the reboot, but his answer unfortunately broke the hearts of his fans.
During the interview, Daniel talked about his acting career and when asked if he would like to make a cameo appearance in the new series, his answer was emphatic: “I don’t think so, no.”
The actor stated that it would be strange to see, since all he has read about the series is that they are starting from scratch. He also stated that he believes Harry Potter was always meant to be a Sherlock Holmes-like character, citing the fact that the character is older than the actor playing him.
