Allocyn: Going back to the adventures in Tomorrow We Own, what did you like about being an Auror?
Julie Debazak: At first glance, this is Vincent Meslet’s proposal. He came to the theater to see the play and offered me a role. I didn’t have a script. It’s always weird when you start a role, you don’t have a script. But this is the very type of everyday life. Roles are written gradually. Despite everything, Vincent Meslet told me about it very well. He also told me about the adventure and that it would be very beautiful and that the character had a lot of character. He bought it and then I was not disappointed (laughs).
The Downey family quickly established itself as one of the show’s most beloved families. What do you think attracts viewers so much?
I think it’s a mix of fun, fun, complicity and daily shouting matches. Dauniers are very responsive. This can sometimes lead to funny or more dramatic situations. There is great love between them. Aurora and William (Kamel Belghazi) make a solid couple and they go a long way together. I think it’s comforting for people.
It is a very loving family. My character loves her mother, she is in love with her man. In addition, they quarrel, because the pair is a daily construction. It’s not always easy. So I think there’s probably an identification of people with all of this. And then, humor is very important in life. I try to bring a few, as do the authors. That’s what makes us so excited to see them live.
This is also yours, Kamel Belghazi’s sister Luvia B.Sc. You have real chemistry on screen…
It was a match between us from day one. When Luvia arrived, she was lucky. The casting was very well done. I have an amazing fictional daughter who is sweet and smart in real life in addition to being a great actress. it pleases me. Incidentally, everything looks good in the picture when we live in pleasant moments. I am very happy and excited that the audience likes us, because it is a precious construction for me.
Aurora was kidnapped last week and remains captive at the police station despite the efforts of her colleagues to rescue her. What can you tell us about the next episodes?
Many things. Aurora discovers that there is a small camera and that it is being filmed. So he will try to contact his colleagues so that they can find him.
We also discover that the commander who replaces Martin (Frank Moncini) is playing a double game at the police station. We don’t know exactly what, but she’ll get closer to Kareem (Sami Gharbi).
Indeed, we now know that it is Agathe Lambsek, the police chief who replaces Martin, who is at the head of this kidnapping. Do Aurora and Agathe know each other?
No, they don’t know each other. Little by little we are going to discover things. I had great pleasure shooting with Rafael Agogue. We had a lot of different aspects to play with and it was really fun. Humanly as well, and this is of great importance. When you have a good actor in front of you and also very friendly, it doesn’t spoil the fun of filming (laughs).
I imagine Aurora will eventually discover the identity of her captor. Will we be allowed a confrontation between Aurora and Agatha?
I don’t know (laughs). I won’t say anything (laughs).
After such an ordeal, the Auror’s outlook on life will definitely change. how does he get up
I think it will come out stronger. However, it is an injury and only time can heal a little. I tell myself that he can get things now and then, he cries too. That said, she does it with her man. We have seen that it sometimes succumbs to other traits. He manages to release emotions, quite spontaneity. Despite the difficulties, he is a fighter and a conqueror.
I imagine the reunion between Avora, William and Manon promises to be moving. What can you tell us about it?
I can’t say anything about the scene, but it was very organic. We did one take. We have something very strong and quite physical. I’m quite tactile and really enjoyed bringing it to the Auror character. He plays in bodies a lot, I would say.
Aurore is a very strong female character. Although she’s been through a lot of tough things since joining the show, this seems to be the first time she’s been both vulnerable and combative. Did you enjoy playing these different registers?
completely! It’s a bit like hitting the bottom of a pool and bouncing back. He will surrender because he is alone. He leaves everything behind: anger, fatigue, love. He can’t stand being locked up. He’s falling apart and I think it’s good for him to get up. In life, I think it’s important to tell yourself “No, it’s not good“I wish I could go back. It’s interesting to see an auror with these flaws. As for me, once I have a few colors to play, I’m a full-fledged actress. I’m very happy about that, really.
What did you like about this plot?
That we find the power of the aurora, but also its heat. It runs in every state. It was very nice to play as an actor. It was strange being alone with the whole team to shoot those scenes. And then I like this plot drawn up. Not knowing how Aurora was kidnapped is a kind of suspense. Only then will we know how it happened. Something that enchants the audience. Editing and screenwriters did a good job. For a format like daily, I find it very interesting because we really want to watch the next episode. Capturing a story like this is a gift. It’s exciting, it’s changing the day-to-day life of the police.
What’s in store for Aurora and the rest of Danie’s family this summer?
I do not know. We will discover scenarios step by step. We trust this format. It’s fun because we build as we go. Anyway, I trust them and hope it will be good. But it usually is. I was never disappointed.
Over a year ago we discovered the Auror family. Did you enjoy learning about your character’s family and background?
Yeah, it’s still crazy. It was crazy because I only had half a day with my fictional mother. Suddenly he dies and I act out his death in the hospital. It was very strong. Besides, I had a connection with this actress I met in Paris then. He is someone who does a lot of theater like me and who has a culture that makes us connect quickly.
After all, this auror mother exists. It’s not because he’s not there anymore, he’s no longer in the picture of an auror’s intimate life. This is part of his fractures. There was also the plot of Auror’s hidden sister, who might one day return.
Telling stories is what I love about my job and what excites me. As I tell my daughters in the evening. And finally, not to the elder who gives the French baccalaureate (laughs).
Do you have any other projects coming up for us tomorrow that you can tell us about?
I acted in August Strindberg’s play The Creditors at the Théâtre de l’Epée de Bois in Vincennes. It worked really well, so we’re bringing it back in November. Then there will be a small tour with a few dates.
It’s important to me to have a few projects that feed me differently than Tomorrow. I like all of them. I like to juggle between one and the other with very different scripts. It was very good for me to return to the set after two months in the theater. gives breath. I have this chance to be able to and it’s very nice.
