The period will be fundamental for the final decision of the squad for the World Cup. On June 27, head coach Pia Sundhage will announce the 23 players chosen for the tournament, as well as three substitutes who will participate in the final preparation for the competition.
The Brazilians had their first training session at the Granja Comary led by the national team’s technical commission. After a warm-up, already on the lawn, the athletes set off to work with the ball.
Among the athletes who performed this Monday, the big news is the Algerian midfielder. The player, who plays for OL Reign, from the United States, suffered ruptured knee ligaments and had to undergo surgery. Since she was injured, it is the first time that the athlete has performed in the national team. The only absence is goalkeeper Natascha, who will perform on Monday evening.
