It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Wednesday 21st June 2023 Episode 691 [SPOILERS]

On Wednesday, June 21, it all starts here…

The two best brigades are selected

As the students gather near the amphitheater to announce the exam results, Jasmine tells Elliott and Hortense about her night with Thibaut. Although pleasant, everything is clear: this is only one shot that allowed him to take his mind a little.

Teissier and Leroy arrive to rank the students. At the last position of the classification is the trinomial, of which Vic is a part. Therefore, he is in his second year, which also means that everyone got an average.

The trio Jude and Mehdi occupy the fourth place in the rating, with an average of 13. In third place, with an average of 14, is the Hortense trinomial. He bursts with joy because his result allows him to become a professor at the institute next year.

Finally, Lionel’s brigade took second place with an average of 15, and Elliott’s trio took first place in the rankings with an average of 16. So Leroy tells them what the special prize consists of: their brigades will have to compete in the third and final. Test at the gastronomic restaurant of the Cévennes steam train. Students of the winning exit brigade will be promo majors. Leroy then specifies that the students can invite anyone of their choice on the train.

At the park, Elliot asks Hortense to be his +1. But the latter had already promised Mehdi to stay with him at the institute. Elliot understands. Meanwhile, Lionel has already offered to accompany Kelly. A little further, Amber asks Solal to be her +1. But she had already said yes to Axel. However, he is supportive of his friend, who is still reeling from Jasmine’s betrayal and feelings for Axel.

Meanwhile, Axel goes to the neighbor, where Jasmine returns her things. When he tries to start a conversation, the girl cuts him off. Before she leaves, he provokes her by telling her to kiss Amber for him. As Axel leaves, Jasmine realizes she is still angry. Elliot promises to party with her for the weekend to decompress.

After which Emmanuel tries to motivate his nephew to become valedictorian. He encourages her not to give up on domestic work because she really believes in herself. However, Axel is sad to be separated from Jasmine. Emmanuel advises her to forget about him during the trial.

In the atelier, Leroy summons Lionel and Elliot. Jasmine decides to accompany them. The chef informs them about the test they will have the next day: they will have to prepare a full menu for the jury, but also for their guests. Therefore, they will be in real service conditions. However, they will only have to take care of the kitchen as the room manager will make the transition. Leroy introduces them to the boss of the room in question, who is none other than his son, Thibaut…

Enzo addresses the jury

In the atelier, Clotilde introduces the master’s students to Marc Leroy. He admires this new generation of chefs. He is especially interested in Enzo’s sweet surprise trusties, who are very fond of him.

Mark congratulates Rose on making the wizard, which further gives her an idea for an event to be held tomorrow on the Seven train. Mark suggests adding a sixth person to the jury, consisting of Teyssier, Miriel, Clotilde, Rose, and the prince, who is responsible for deciding between the two brigades. He wants this sixth person to be one of his graduate students. Rose is thrilled with the idea.

Meanwhile, Enzo meets Vic in the hallway. Congratulations on passing the second grade. As for her, she’s starting to get desperate to convince Rose to hold a pop-up this summer. Vicki then encourages her friend to apply to be a member of the jury for tomorrow’s exam. According to him, this will be a way to get closer to Rose and finally convince her.

At Double A, Leroy informs Rose and Antoine that he wanted Suleiman on the train as well. He then insists that Joachim also come to visit Clotilde. The technical director agrees, although he is uncomfortable with the current complicity of Mark and his partner.

In the atelier, Leroy meets the candidates who want to be part of the jury. Leroy asks them questions to find out their relationship with the kitchen. Impressed by Enzo’s speech, as well as by the credibility of his salty surprise, Leroy stalks him.

Teysier gives Ethan an ultimatum

After announcing the results, where his team averaged 13/20, Ethan apologizes to Jude and Deva again. He is interrupted by his mother’s call. If he prefers not to take it, this does not prevent his mother from quickly understanding his remark and expressing her frustration with a message.

A little later, when Solal joins him, Ethan is talking to his mother on the phone. She offers him an internship at her restaurant for the entire summer so she can coach him, but Ethan flatly refuses and hangs up. He confides in Solal about his need to rest during the holidays so that he can return to the Institute more than ever.

In the afternoon, Solali sends the internship request to Miriel’s office. The latter is surprised that Ethan’s request was not accepted. Solal indeed reveals that his friend has decided to take a vacation.

So Miriel decides to summon Ethan along with Tessier. The freshman tries to explain his reasons: because of the pressure, he no longer enjoys cooking and prefers to take a break. But directors don’t understand it that way. Tessier gives Ethan an ultimatum: either he accepts a summer internship as a student or he leaves school.
