Tomorrow Belongs to Us: “Agathe Can Go Pretty Far in Revenge” Reveals Raphael Agogue

Agathe Lambesque (Raphaëlle Agogué), the new police chief of Tomorrow Belongs to Us, is on set with a very specific goal in mind. After kidnapping Aurora (Julie DeBazac) and then nearly killing Martin (Frank Monsin), Agate seems determined to quench her thirst for revenge.

But who really is Agathe Lambeski and why does she attack the police when she herself is part of this institution? Although the following episodes clearly promise to answer these questions, Raphael Agogue, the interpreter of this Machiavellian character, entrusted the microphone of Allocine to the continuation of this intrigue.

Alocine: How did you come tomorrow belongs to us?

Raphael Agog : in a rather classic way. We contacted my agent and I just did the casting.

What did you like about the role of Agathe Lambek?

Once, I play a villain (laughs). It changes a bit, because I generally have more pleasant roles. I’ve often interpreted characters in the police, but this one clearly had something very powerful about its double face.

How would you describe Agatha in a few words?

Agathe is a police commander who did not come to this post by chance. He is a man with experience, strong willpower, and has to prove himself with his skills and attitude. He is the one who also controls and manipulates his team to play his double game.

How will the police officers receive it?

Because he is very smart and very strong, his results are forced by his skills. There are definitely people who are surprised by this. At the same time, others have special intuition and are therefore more suspicious. Agathe can be disturbingly effective and topical at times. He can read.

We find out very quickly that Agathe is the villain of this plot. What can we expect next?

Agathe is a very deeply motivated woman. He can go pretty far in revenge. In this way, he will establish a very strong relationship with certain characters and will greatly shake up the police department on various levels. I hope the public will like it.

On a purely personal level, I expect a lot of reactions from the public. Agathe takes the place of Martin, a character who is very likable and charismatic. This alone is not unusual. Relationship with Auror too. And then there’s a whole story arc with Kareem (Sammy Gharbi) that’s pretty powerful. In the end, Agathe makes this little world quite exciting.

Agathe and Karim will become closer in the next episodes. What can you tell us about it?

Karim will be Agatha’s access point for certain aspects of her revenge. He will be the part that allows Agatha to destroy the entire little family that is the police department.

Why does Agathe seek revenge? Why attack the police when they themselves are part of this institution?

Agatha’s revenge is directed at the police with very deep and personal motives. I think that’s what’s so interesting about this character. Agathe is a very rich character. Looking back, I want the audience to accept him, understand him, and have some form of sympathy for him, even if he’s really a very manipulative character. Either way, Agate has this overpowering motivation that allows her to go too far. I don’t know if he has anything to lose in the end.

Aurora is a woman full of resources, and we’re definitely telling ourselves she’ll be a great match for Agathi. Will we be allowed to meet face to face?

I don’t feel that way. It is difficult because I have not seen the episodes, I will discover them with you.

We soon see that Aurora is one of the characters who has the right intuition about Agatha. It must be said that Aurora is strong in her role. He will definitely drive the plot and be there. Despite everything, there will be no direct confrontation between them. On the edge, perhaps with Roxanne (Raphael Volkoff).

At the same time, Agathe first of all conducts the investigation for a long time. It won’t be easy to believe that he is finding solutions when he is the one causing the problems. You need to know how to stay trustworthy.

What conclusions do you draw from this experience Tomorrow Belongs to Us?

I found it great! I was very afraid because Agathe is a very rich, strong character, full of colors and things to protect. I had very little time before arriving at the project, but I really enjoyed it. People are super nice. Everything is ready to create a highly efficient and close-knit team. I found the dynamics to be very good. It drives really well. Despite being busy days, it was very comfortable. And then, the actors are great. I have created very good people.

Do you have a memory from the shoot or a scene that you particularly remember?

I can’t tell you the first thing that comes to mind (laughs). But otherwise, I’d say I shot the first scene. It’s not that I adored him, but he made a scene. This is the scene where we drive to an absolute emergency. I need to be in the shoes of a field policeman immediately. It was Sammy at Gharbi.

We must already have a team bond regarding our intervention. There was both a very technical aspect about the arrival of the car, the weapon, the armband and the discovery of the character and the team. So it’s true that this first scene was a baptism of fire. It was a big leap. There are scenes that are a bit more relaxed, but it was immediately very active there (laughs).
