The Ibovespa closed up this Wednesday, above 120,000 points for the first time since April 2022, in a session marked by expectations for the Central Bank’s monetary policy decision, in particular signals on the direction of the Selic ahead, with Petrobras among the main supporters.
Brazil’s stock market benchmark index, the Ibovespa, rose 0.56%, to 120,295.13 points, the closing high since April 4, 2022, according to preliminary data. In the best moment of the day it reached 120,518.52 points. At a minimum, 119,332 points.
The financial volume on the trading floor was 24.7 billion reais.
