Johanna’s trap is working
At the station, Prosecutor Bernier gives Commissioner Becker a file containing evidence that could bring down Alexander Delarive. This is an email exchange between Delarive Agency and BLG Firm regarding expired contracts. In 2020, two designers would work at Delarive and sign a contract as soon as the preliminary investigation began. A very curious fact in the eyes of the commissioner. The latter also understands that Delarive, with the complicity of his ex-wife, hastened to clean up. When he tries to find out how he managed to get these letters, Bernier replies that it was Claudine who sent them to him. Therefore, he hopes to use this opportunity. Without waiting, Becker hands the file over to Lt. Cross.
Later, Ian calls one of the two designers. During the interrogation, he reveals that Delary stole one of his ideas. At the end of 2019, the young man sent plans for a hi-fi furniture prototype to the Delarive agency. Six months later, part of the furniture was in the catalog of the agency. Pure and gross plagiarism according to him. The designer really tried to harass Alexander, but the latter completely rejected it. However, the designer refused for fear of being fried in the middle.
Later, the policeman meets Margot Gallet, Delariv’s supplier. In the face of Lt. Cross’s insistence, she admits that Delarive’s attorney pressured her to change her testimony. Ian then promises to do his best to turn her around.
On the other hand, Alexander Delariv was summoned to the police station. With the help of a lawyer, he continues to deny the charges against him. So Lt. Cross informs them that he has an exchange between the designers, the Delarive agency, and the BLG firm. Hit them.
Leaving the police station, Delarieve berates Claudine for sending evidence against him to court. If he disputes this, the lawyer still fails to understand what happened. Only, Delarive doesn’t care and insults him before swearing off his reputation.
Back at the firm, Claudine frames Margot because she’s convinced she’s the one who put the private email exchange in the file. Margot can convince her otherwise, Claudine is getting on her nerves. At the same time, Johanna attends the scene from the meeting room and is having fun.
After returning home, Johanna is in a good mood, which is not lost on Ian, who is well aware that he is the one who threw Claudine. As she fears that she will be kicked out of the bar, Johanna explains that there is no proof that she was the one who put the documents in Delariv’s file. And worst case scenario, Johanna is not going to let go.
MANU inherits the new survey
In the morning, Elena is visited by David. Disturbed by Claire’s suspicions of him, he confides in his friend and says that he regrets believing that they could become friends again. Indeed, he bitterly realizes that he did not underestimate the hatred of the nurse, but above all that he spoiled the whole line in this relationship. David tries to calm her down and encourage her to stop beating herself up, but to no avail. Elena knows very well that what she did is unforgivable.
At the police station, Superintendent Becker gives Manu and Alex the case of Lawrence Roussillon, a jewel thief in his fifties. The latter was serving a seven-year prison sentence and did not return from leave when he was only six months away from being released. On the run for ten days, the judge charged him with escape.
In turn, Claire calls Christian and questions him with Victor shortly before his disappearance. Although he doesn’t really have time to discuss, the art dealer explains that they talked about Elena and their story that ended badly. He also specifies that Victor seems to take Helen’s happiness very seriously. Claire wants to know more, but Christian is impatient and then ends their conversation.
Afterwards, she calls Alix to tell her that she gave Claire a soft version of her last exchange with Victor. Alix then hopes it will work because they don’t need it right now. Reassuringly, Christian doesn’t guarantee that Claire won’t come back on the charge.
Later, Alix tells Ulysses that Claire will not report them to the police. A relief for the young artist.
At the end of the day, Claire tells Helen about her discussion with Christian. Not really sure, she has a feeling he hasn’t told her everything. So Helen proves to him that he is a liar and a manipulator. Moreover, Elena does not understand why Alix did not tell her about the meeting between Victor and Christian. Claire then says she’s sure Christian and Alix are hiding something from them.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Becker and Manu assess Roussillon’s investigation, and Captain Leoni finds himself exchanging letters with several people around Montpellier. As Victor’s name appears on the list, Becker calls Manu to dig up the track.
