Despite several appearances over the years in Marvel films – in the early days of the MCU – actor Samuel L. Jackson wanted to see Nick Fury in more of the producer’s films. The actor plays the former director of Shield since “Iron Man” (2008).
Early on, Jackson signed a nine-picture deal with Marvel Studios, but was featured in longer ones. Despite all these appearances, the actor seems to be unhappy with Fury’s trajectory. And he wanted his character to star in the films “Black Panther” and “Captain America: Civil War,” according to an article published by the Rolling Stones.
They wouldn’t let me go to Wakanda, which disappointed me. How did Nick Fury not know about Wakanda? They said, ‘Well, you know, but you can’t go.’

In “Captain America: Civil War,” the actor suggested that “if the kids are fighting, why isn’t Nick Fury there to send them to their rooms? They never explained it to me.”
A possible justification for the absence of the figure in these two films, the consensus between them is precisely the vast number of appearances of the former director of Shield in the MCU.

Nick Fury’s presence in Marvel movies shouldn’t end there. The former Shield director is expected to have new appearances in the upcoming film ‘The Marvels’, which will be released in 2023.
