Star Wars with Daisy Ridley: Filming Begins! When will we see this movie?

After being the hero of the last Star Wars trilogy in the cinema as Rey, Daisy Ridley returns for a new opus! The announcement was made during the Star Wars ceremony in London last April.

In 2019, The Rise of Skywalker concluded a storyline that caused a lot of ink and divided fans. Adored by some, reviled by others, Rey was definitely not a unanimous choice among fans of the intergalactic saga.

However, the fighter will be back for good in a new feature film. The story will take place after the fall of the First Order. “The Jedi are in chaos – the question is how many still exist – and Rey is building a new Jedi order based on the text given to her and given to her by Luke.”said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm.

Indeed, the story takes place 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. We find Rey trying to restore the Jedi Order, accompanied by two Padawans, a boy and a girl. The latter would generate amazing power.

The film will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel), from a script by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. According to a specialized magazine production weeklyThe film, titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order, will begin shooting in April 2024. The release date is May 20, 2026.

Keep in mind that two more Star Wars movies were also announced during Star Wars Celebration. James Mangold, director of Logan and Indiana Jones 5, takes us 25,000 years into the past. It tells the story of the first Jedi.

The second feature film will be directed by Dave Filoni, a veteran of the franchise who is heavily involved with The Mandalorian. The story will take place during the New Republic. The latter was created after the Rebel Alliance’s victory at the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the 2nd Death Star and the disappearance of Emperor Palpatine.
