On April 15, M6 aired a double-episode crossover event between NCIS: Enquêtes Spéciales and its spin-off, NCIS: Hawaii, which saw special agents from the two units come together to conduct a large-scale investigation. Thus, this special opus started the 20th and 2nd seasons of the two detective series.
But after 11 weeks on air, M6 is broadcasting the latest NCIS investigation: Hawaii this Saturday, June 24 at 10.50pm. In this double episode, Agent Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) finds herself on a killing spree after being contacted by a man who was shot before she met him.
Tennant quickly realizes that the story is connected to an old mission dating back to his time at the CIA and visits Maggie in prison. Agent John Swift arrives at NCIS to stop Tennant and reopen the investigation…
Season 3 for NCIS: Hawaii?
Last February, CBS announced that NCIS: Special Investigations and NCIS: Hawaii had both been renewed for additional seasons. Accordingly, the latter will have the rights to the third season, which should be released on the American channel next year.
So far, no information has been released about these new episodes, other than that LL Cool J, who camped with Sam on NCIS: Los Angeles, should appear there. The actor, who will reprise his role, also made his first appearance in the season 2 finale of NCIS: Hawaii.
We have to believe that after 14 years of good and faithful service since the cancellation of NCIS: Los Angeles (the detective series bowed on May 21), LL Cool J wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the franchise just yet. If we don’t know the extent of his role yet, he should be back for a few episodes.
Catch the final two episodes of NCIS Season 2: Hawaii this Saturday, June 24 from 10:50pm on M6. The channel continues to air new episodes of season 20 of NCIS: Special Investigations every Saturday at 9:10 p.m.
