Pirani celebrates in double dose: victory and goal of the moment

After Fluminense’s victory over Bahia this Saturday (24/6) for the Brazilian championship, Pirani evaluated the match with double satisfaction. After all, in addition to the 3 points for the team, the result was special for the player on a personal level: he scored the winning goal.

“I was really after that goal. I need to up the numbers in my career,” said the 21-year-old athlete.

The fan was given the opportunity to play in midfield as coach Eduardo Barros (assistant who replaced the suspended Fernando Diniz) spared Ganso most of the time.

“I played roles I wasn’t used to, I played on the left wing, I played for the team even though I was away from the attack. Today I managed to get back to my place, I managed to score the goal, I’m very happy” , he celebrated.

“It’s very important, it gives confidence to the group, and I think it’s normal because we work so hard.”

Born in Penápolis (SP), Pirani arrived at Fluminense in February this year. Created by Santos, he moved on to Cuiabá before moving to Rio de Janeiro to defend club Laranjeiras.
