This is a blow to Paramount+ subscribers. A few days ago, the platform announced the cancellation of 4 series: Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy (animation), Queen of the Universe (show) and The Game (sports series).
Those four productions are also slated to disappear from the catalog this week, as recently clarified by Paramount+ statement.
An identical strategy to the one used by Disney + and HBO recently, which allows them not to pay taxes on their productions and thus save money. The studios are also making the case for moving closer to Showtime in the United States to retool their strategy.
