A publication made by the manufacturer of Mortal combat 2Todd Gardner, shows part of the cast of the sequel and confirmed the participation of actor Karl Urban, known for starring in the series The boys.
Last month, rumors indicated that the actor was in the final stages of negotiations to play the character Johnny Cage.

In addition to Karl Urban, who is expected to play Johnny Cage, the image shows the new actors Tati Gabrielly (Jade) and Ana Thu Ngyen (Sindel), along with the actors who participated in the first film: Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Mehcad Brooks (Jax) and Ludi Lin (Liu Kang).
Last week, Gardner confirmed the start of production on the new film based on the popular video game franchise.

Mortal combat 2 will be directed by Simon McQuoid, who directed the first film. The screenplay is by Jeremy Slater, known for his work on the series. Umbrella Academy.
The sequel does not yet have a scheduled release date.
