December 2022. Netflix has announced the cancellation of Warrior Nun, a teen series particularly appreciated by its core subscribers that follows the adventures of warrior nuns. Fans immediately mobilized and spent heavily on petitions and advertising campaigns in several European countries.
And it seems to have worked. In a tweet on June 28th, series showrunner Simon Barry announced that there will indeed be a Season 3 of Warrior Nun:
Today I am pleased to officially announce that due to your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #Warrior Nun It’s coming back and it’s going to be more epic than you can imagine. More details ahead! Keep it up! Thank you!! #SaveWarriorNow #WarriorNunSaved ❤️🎬 pic.twitter.com/yuTbRR2L3q

Today, I’m excited to officially announce that thanks to all of your voices, passion, and incredible efforts – #WarriorNun is back and more epic than ever. More details ahead! soon! thanks!!
At this time, it is unclear whether this decision came from Netflix, or if the creator managed to find another broadcaster – which is the most likely theory. This isn’t the first time a canceled series has ended its life with a contestant. The platform sitcom As Days Passed was not renewed by the platform and Season 4 has finally aired on the PopTV service.
Season 3 of Warrior Nun will serve to wrap up the plot around the Halo train. In the last episode, Ava (Alba Baptista) sacrificed herself to destroy Adriel and eliminate him in another world. We should learn a little more about the first Holy Relics train in the next episodes…
