With six Brazilians, the last 16 of the Libertadores has 15 teams classified; watch

Fifteen clubs are already guaranteed in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores of America, six of them from Brazil. On the night of this Wednesday, Flamengo, international, national managed to secure qualification to the next stage of the continental tournament.

In Group A, Flamengo took revenge on Aucas-EQU, who beat Rubro-negro in their debut, and scored a 4-0 defeat, in Marcanã, to take their place in the round of 16, second place, with 11 points, two short of Racing.

Internacional secured the leadership and classification in Group B by beating Independiente Medellin, 3-1, in Beira-Rio. In the same group, Nacional-URU, beat Metropolitanos, by 1 to 0 and obtained the second wave of the group. Flamengo, in Marcanà.

The following teams earned their place in the round of 16 early, even before entering the field for the sixth and final round of the group stage: Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, Racing, Bolívar, Palmeiras, Athletico-PR, Atlético Nacional , Independiente del Valle and Olimpia. Meanwhile, on Tuesday evening, Atlético-MG, Fluminense and River Plate.

The last remaining place belongs to Group F and is contested by Colo-Colo-CHI, Deportivo Pereira-COL and Monagas-VEN. A victory over the Chileans is enough for the Colombian team to conquer the vacant place. If Colo-Colo wins, he guarantees a place if Monagas draws or loses to Boca Juniors. The Venezuelans, in turn, must beat Boca and cheer for the obstacle of Deportivo Pereira.

In Group C, Palmeiras still has the opportunity to secure the best season in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores. For this, he must beat Bolívar in a duel scheduled for 21:00 (Brasilia time) this Thursday, at the Allianz Parque.

The round of 16 will be defined in a draw scheduled for next Wednesday (5 July), at the Conmebol headquarters. The teams that qualify in first place will be in the same pot and the runners-up in another.
