With the approval of Law nº 13.989/2020, which regulates its modalities, the number of telemedicine consultations has gradually increased in Brazil, providing greater access to health care throughout the country. Data collected by Saúde Digital Brasil, which represents the main telemedicine operators in Brazil, reveal an exponential growth in the number of patients assisted through information and communication technologies. One survey carried out by Tuin Carehealthtech focused on telemedicine and remote assistance solutions, shows that the number of remote consultations grew by 70.68% in the first five months of 2023, compared to the same period of 2022.
The company, which is the exclusive representative of TytoCare technology, a device that enables remote physical examination across the country, also reports a 150% growth in the number of patients having consultations using the device, for a total of 2,731 consultations from January to May of this year, against 1,600 for the same period in 2022.
The Healthtech base has approximately 480 active subscriptions and at least 3,850 registered patients. According to Tuinda, in the period, the North region presented a 156% increase in the number of registered patients. The company also saw more than a 20% increase in new healthcare professionals.
Among the most common types of consultation, the synchronous mode stands out, which consists in carrying out a remote examination during the consultation. Through Tyto Care technology, the doctor is able to capture sounds and images from a distance.
The artificial intelligence system guides the user in carrying out the examination with the device, then it is possible to evaluate the structures of the ear, such as the ear canal and the eardrum, analyze possible infections of the oropharynx, listen to the lungs, heart and abdomen , check heart rate, measure temperature and obtain images of skin lesions with high precision and accuracy. The device also allows you to connect a pressure gauge.
