To say it’s been a great week for Johnny Depp would be an understatement. For weeks, the actor was locked up in a libel suit with his ex-wife Amber Heard, and finally a verdict was issued . The jury found Heard guilty on three counts of defamation of Depp, and the jury sided financially with the Oscar nominee regarding his ex-wife’s cross-suit. Many of those who had been aware of the court proceedings appeared to have eagerly awaited the fateful decision of the jury. Interestingly, just before the verdict, Deep was apparently hanging out in a bar giving advice to her parents.
Last week, Captain Jack Sparrow’s actor visited Newcastle’s Bridge Tavern just hours before the court order was issued. The star wasn’t alone, as she was apparently joined by legendary guitarist Jeff Beck. Apparently the two were keeping a low profile, but eventually the tavern manager, Lauren Whittington, spotted them. In an interview, pregnant Whittington recalled the celebrity sighting and revealed the parenting advice the actor shared with her once he found out she was pregnant with her:
Neither of us could believe it, it went unnoticed for maybe an hour before anyone realized it was him and Jeff Beck sitting in the corner eating Fish and Chips together … He noticed she was pregnant and I asked how long I was left with, then she gave me some advice on diapers, sleep deprivation and the first few weeks of parenting, saying it will be the greatest gift I’ve ever received and that I won’t know such a love until I look at her with probing eyes at the first one time.
Based on your feedback a ITV news , it seems that the meeting was a quite surreal experience for the tavern manager. She went on to say that the 58-year-old star provided some additional feelings related to the children:

Johnny Depp has two children, daughter (and actress) Lily-Rose Depp and son Jack. Depp’s alleged parenting methods were among the many issues raised in the libel suit. During the trial, Amber Heard Reportedly, Depp gave Lily-Rose some weed as teenagers, a move that reportedly caused friction between the then married couple. Young Depp was also mentioned in the story when he said so did not attend her father’s wedding because she and Heard “weren’t particularly on good terms” at the time.
Currently, the Edward scissor hands alum received $ 15 million (collectively for compensation and punitive damages) following the unanimous verdict. However, he himself was found guilty on a libel charge, which resulted in his ex-wife receiving $ 2 million in damages. After the sentence, the star replied , saying that he now feels “at peace”. His ex-wife, on the other hand, expressed her “disappointment” at the turn of events.
While Johnny Depp seems to be breathing a sigh of relief now, it’s interesting to hear that he already seemed calm before the big moment. I don’t know if we can expect him to give more parenting advice to passersby, although fans of the actor can hope see it in a new project with Jeff Beck.
