Justice League: A photo of Green Lantern reappeared

Even in the 4-hour version, Green Lantern is not featured in the Justice League movie, but in reality, a character scene was filmed and then cut out. Today Zack Snyder finally revealed it.

On March 18, the film marked one year since the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Fans spent a great deal of time expressing their satisfaction that the version of the film they wanted from its original director, Studio Warner, had been unveiled.

Remember that in 2017, the version of Justice League that viewers found in the movies was not really Zack Snyder, but the version reviewed and revised by the studio, led by Joe Whedon. In March 2021, a 4-hour version of the film, restored at Snyder’s request, was released on the HBO Max platform and OCS in France.

Last Friday, on the anniversary of the American release of this long version, Snyder himself and actor Wayne T. Carr posted a photo of him as John Stewart, better known as “Green Lantern.” This cosmic superhero who once appeared in movies as Ryan Reynolds should have appeared in the Justice League, even in the long version, he was replaced by Martial Manhunter, another character.

Result: Despite 4 hours of the Justice League, we still have not seen the green lantern played by Wayne T. A door that, like many fans, still demands a return to the connected world, adapted from Snyder-initiated DC Comics. However, this is not in line with Warner’s current strategy for adapting his comics.

The members of the Green Lantern Corps appear in “Snyder Cut”, but not John Stewart / Wayne T. Curry. Apparently, his replacement with Martial Manhunter was the subject of a compromise between the director and the studio so that his director could see the light of day.

It is also unthinkable that Warner asked Snyder to leave behind characters who could become franchise leaders, such as John Stewart, in favor of the lesser-known members of the Green Lantern Corps shown in the film. Does this mean that a Green Lantern Corps movie or series that was once announced as part of the connected DC universe will see the light of day in the near future?

The series has been running on HBO Max for 2 years anyway.
