Join the Straw Hat Crew! Two months before the start of the One Piece event series, Netflix is offering fans a website dedicated entirely to news on the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga.
Available in French version, website lagrandeflotteduchapeaudepaille.fr – named after the crew led by the series’ protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy – offers its members the opportunity to subscribe to a newsletter that provides access to exclusive content, including mobile wallpapers, but also many surprises that will be revealed soon.
But that’s not all, because according to our colleagues Soon Registered fans will also be able to receive a preview of the series!
It’s generally a good sign for a platform to release original production episodes before its official broadcast, and so this approach shows some confidence Netflix has in the quality of One Piece.
One Piece follows the pirate monkey d. The adventures of Luffy (Inaki Godoi), who has elastic powers thanks to the Devil Fruit Gum-Gum. His crew includes swordsman Roronoa Zoro (McEnuy), navigator Nami (Emily Rudy), mythomaniac Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar).
Together, the Straw Hat crew will travel the most dangerous seas in the world and face their most powerful enemies to retrieve the One Piece from the famous pirate king Gol d. Roger’s Treasure.
The first season of the One Piece live series is available on Netflix starting August 31st.
