Un Si Grand Soleil preview: Tuesday July 4, 2023 episode recap [SPOILERS]

Claire and Helen meet Lauren

After an all-night drive, Claire and Elena arrive in Figueres, Spain, where they find Lawrence Roussillon in the abandoned house of Victor’s friend. In the face of their questions, Lawrence tells them his story.

Victor and Laurence wrote to each other regularly while in prison. An epistolary relationship that helped him a lot to sustain in difficult times. One day Victor offered to call, which he immediately accepted. Then the exchange became more human and over time they became friends.

When Lawrence was arrested for robbery, his daughter Pauline was placed in foster care. Lawrence has had no contact with her since then. Pauline, who then went to live in the United States when she came of age, Laurence imagines that she wanted to get as far away from him as possible.

Troubled by his story, Victor came to pick him up when he was released from prison on June 8 on his permit. They saw each other in person for the first time. He then took her to the beach where she was able to enjoy that little bit of freedom. However, while walking, Lawrence began to cough. When Victor asked if he heard his request for a medical pardon, Lawrence replied that he did not take the necessary steps because he did not want to waste time in a procedure that would take months. Indeed, Laurence is about to die and wants to hug his daughter until his last breath.

Finally, on a whim, he decided not to return to prison. Victor tried to reason with him, but Laurence, who had nothing more to lose, wanted to see his daughter one last time before he died. So Victor decided to help him.

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Indeed, the money Laurence hid in the woods to pay for the fake passport was stolen by his former accomplice. When Victor tried to negotiate a deal with the fake documents man, the latter demanded 30,000 euros. Claire and Ellen then find out why Victor wanted to sell his stake in the Savages. Information that Lawrence did not know.

To prevent his friend from losing his restaurant, Laurence announces that he is going to go to the police, but Claire and Ellen stop him. Disturbed by his story, they even go to his aid. A tearful Lawrence thanks them.

At the thatched hut, Victor receives Monsieur Croisil, who gives him a contract to sign for the sale of his shares in the savages. Although a little reluctant, Claire’s father assures us that he hasn’t changed his mind.

At nightfall, Victor is about to sign the contract when he gets a call from Claire, who informs her that along with Helen, they have decided to help Lauren. Victor immediately refuses to include them in the story, but Claire insists on finding a way out for Laurence.

Margot has an idea to restore the cabinet’s image

In the morning, Margot tells Claudine about her idea to restore the firm’s image. Therefore, she offers him to accompany the association that participates in environmental actions in Occitania. Generous donors will benefit from attractive tax incentives and the firm will be well regarded by local authorities, the wider community and their planet-conscious clients. According to him, some customers will also be willing to do a good deed to improve their reputation. Claudine promises to think about it.

Meanwhile, Ronan questions Noemi’s relationship with Ludo. Indeed, he tries to understand why their story did not work when they share the same environmental values. So the farmer reveals that Ludo had a paid affair with his mother.

Later, Elizabeth goes to the BLG office. After signing the contract, the businessman assures Claudine that he will not deal with Gilham. After he confirms this to her, Claudine presents him with a file on a real estate company that could be a great investment opportunity. When Elizabeth is interested, the lawyer tells her about Margot’s project. An approach that Allen’s companion finds very clever. Since OCI turned to organic and local producers, the company’s image has improved and gained new customers who are very concerned about the environment.

Without waiting, Claudine joins Margot and says she is interested in her associations. So she asks him to write a summary note. An overjoyed Margot calls Ludo to tell him the good news. In the process, he informs Noem and Ronan that Margot has managed to convince her boss to raise funds for environmental projects. If Ronan thinks they’re going to sell their souls to the devil, Ludo sees a course of action.
