This was indeed the case ten years later with Terminator 2, still signed by James Cameron, who in turn marked the next decade thanks to a subtle idea that made Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character look like a villain. Mercilessly, protecting Connor’s family, but above all thanks to the use of special effects that have never been seen before.

Another example is the Alien franchise, which began in the late 1970s with Ridley Scott directing, continued in 1986 with James Cameron again at the helm, and continued into the 1990s with two new directors: David Fincher for the third installment (1992), and Frenchman Jean-Pierre Jeunet. For Alien, Resurrection (1997).
