Yellowstone: The good news we couldn’t hope for!

The Dutton family (and their billion enemies) will be returning to Paramount+ soon. To remind you, the first three seasons of Yellowstone were broadcast in France on Salto, and the first two on TMC. But after closing the somersault, nothing! Taylor Sheridan’s series, which saw the light of day in the United States thanks to the cable channel Paramount Network, we logically expected a continuation on Paramount +, whose service has been available in France for several months.

In the tweet above, which lists the new features expected on the platform in July, we finally hear some long-awaited good news. Seasons 3 and 4 are announced on July 15. But if you go to Paramount+ now, you’ll see that season 3 is already available. You just have to wait a few more days to discover the fourth season.

Enough to catch the delay on American broadcasts. Indeed, across the Atlantic, Yellowstone is in its 5th season, with the first part airing from November 2022. But we still don’t know when the last episodes of season 5 will air, which will also end the series. Simply because it hasn’t been filmed yet!

In addition to the writers’ strike, which is seriously halting a large number of American productions, a dispute between the series’ star Kevin Costner and the producer is preventing them from completing filming of the final episodes. The filming schedule for the series is very heavy for Kevin Costner, who wants to do less and who is also busy with the filming of his next movie, Horizon: American Saga.

Therefore, it will still be necessary to be patient to know the outcome of the adventures of the Dutton family. We can console ourselves by waiting for the spin-offs of the series. Yellowstone became a true franchise, helmed by Taylor Sheridan with the 1883 and 1923 series (with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren). Others are expected, including Lawmen: Bas Reeves, starring David Oyelowo as the first black deputy sheriff, who was the inspiration for The Lone Ranger.

And another series could see the light of day, which will be led by Matthew McConaughey, but negotiations are still ongoing.
