On the night of this Tuesday (04), the Federal Traffic Police (PRF) arrested a man wanted by justice in Rio Grande do Sul. He was arrested after the chase on BR 290.
During an anti-crime operation, the agents ordered to stop the driver of a Palio registered in Sapucaia do Sul. He disobeyed and broke through the police blockade, but was chased and intercepted further on.
The driver was traveling with a woman, an elderly man and a dog, which he said were his friends. Police officers became suspicious of the information provided by the man and proceeded to a thorough search of the systems, when they discovered that he was using his brother-in-law’s name. In reality, the woman who accompanied him was his wife and his elderly father-in-law.
The man was later identified: he was a 43-year-old fugitive, with more than 20 acts, including crimes such as murder, drug trafficking and illegal possession of a weapon. Convicted of drug trafficking, he broke his ankle bracelet two years ago while serving his sentence.
The car was taken into storage due to traffic violations. The criminal was arrested for false identity, taken to the police station to have the incident recorded and then sent to prison. The family members and the dog were released.
