A cold front crosses southern Rio Grande do Sul. Areas of instability are still growing on the northeastern coast and in part of northern Brazil.
A large dry air mass continues over Brazil and leaves most of the country with little cloud cover and no conditions for rain. This dry air can be observed in all regions of the country.
A cold front advances over southern Rio Grande do Sul bringing rain clouds to the region.
Storm clouds grow in several places in the north of Brazil’s northern region where there is a lot of heat humidity. Rain clouds form along the northeastern coast due to the accumulation of moisture caused by moderate sea winds.
A strong cold air mass of polar origin sits above the ocean and carries cold winds inland from the south and southeast.

Weather forecast in Brazil for 05/07/2023 – Wednesday
South Region
A cold front crosses the southern coast of Rio Grande do Sul and causes many clouds and moderate rain showers in this region this Wednesday. Cloud cover also increases in the Gaúcha countryside and it can drizzle in the morning. Light rain clouds grow on the coast of Santa Catarina.
Dry air prevails over other areas of the Southern Region and the weather is stable, with lots of sun and few clouds.
There are early morning fog conditions in eastern Paraná. You can freeze in the Santa Catarina Mountains at sunrise.
Southeast Region
Almost all of the Southeast Region has an extra day with lots of sunshine, little or no cloud cover. The day is still quite cold because a large, strong mass of cold air over the ocean carries cold winds inland from the southeast. This cold air is moving away from Brazil and the cold eases this Thursday.
Lots of clouds and light rain are expected on the coast of Espírito Santo. In Vale do Rio Doce (MG), the sun appears among many clouds.
You can equip yourself at dawn in the highest areas of the Serra da Mantiqueira, on the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
This Wednesday’s sunrise could be the coldest this year, so far, in the capitals of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.
Midwest region
A large mass of dry air affects the interior of Brazil and leaves the entire Midwest with low humidity in the air. Therefore, hardly any cloud cover can form over the Region and there are no conditions for rain.
The Midwest is again the driest region in the country, with humidity levels between 11% and 30% for several hours, which is unhealthy.
It is quite hot in the Midwest in the afternoon, with temperatures above 30°C, but the night and the dawn are mild.
Northeast Region
Sun and dry weather prevail in the interior of the northeast. Almost the whole Region has a day with some clouds and no conditions for rain.
Rain showers and sunny periods occur along the coast and in the forest zone from southern Bahia to east of Rio Grande do Norte.
The coast of Bahia has more frequent rains and more clouds. Rain occurs with lightning on the coast of Maranhão
Northern region
Another day with lots of sun, heat and dry weather in Tocantins, in the center, south and east of Pará, in Rondônia, in Acre and south of Amazonas.
The other areas of the Northern Region have periods with sunshine and showers with lightning, especially in the afternoon and at night. It always rains in Roraima, on the coast of Pará and Amapá.
There is a risk of moderate to heavy rains in Roraima, on the coast of Amapá and Pará.
